Vita R2 DAB digital radio review Building on the success of the Vita R1, the stereo speaker Vita R2 employs the same, refined audio components and control system. The Vita R2 features a front-mounted MP3 player/line input and headphone socket. VitaAudio's rotodial makes another appearance here, too and the Vita R2's remote control is also equipped with a 3D stereo image button for a more expansive sound. This feature certainly works, making the sound jump out of the main unit. Thanks to its ported speakers, there's ample bass on tap, too. Build quality is exceptional, with a solid metal fascia and high gloss laquer case to dampen unwanted resonance. The minimalist look is carried through to its neat remote control, which gives secondary access to ten station presets, volume and waveband control. Stations are selected using the up/down buttons around the dial, followed by a push of the ok button. The central dial itself controls the volume. Holding down the alarm button lets you fiddle with the alarm time settings and the radio will wake you to either a buzzer or the radio.
