If it ain't broke - don't fix it - seems to be the view at Pure, the leading DAB radio manufacturer. Having launched the Pure ONE mini and Pure One Classic (which has seen considerable sales and only a few years for it to adopt a "classic" status), Pure are back again with the Pure One Elite - a twin-speaker version of the Pure ONE, featuring a music player input socket and pause and rewind.

The Pure ONE Elite adds a 3.5mm line-in socket for connection of an MP3 player or iPod - and with the Elite being a stereo system, this gives it the edge over having a separate DAB radio/speaker dock.

The ONE Elite can also be linked up to the Pure's i-10 universal iPod dock, for complete control of tracks and playlists using the i-10's remote.

The Pure ONE Elite features pause and rewind of live radio for up to 15 minutes at a time, so you can listen again to something missed when the dog was barking.

Pure have sensibly added an alarm function to the Classic (well, who wants to have multiple radios doing different things when one will do?), and there are now thirty presets for favourite stations, though the method of selection is still a little 'round the houses.
