Panasonic's new SCPM33 is the latest in a long line of audio equipment to offer an easy-to-reach line-level input for hooking up an MP3 player. The SCPM33 DB provides DAB Band III and FM reception, CD-R, CD-RW and MP3 CD playback.

Forty watts of music power are on-tap (2 x 20 Watts RMS per channel) and sound tweaks can be made to the Panasonic DAB micro by way of a graphic equaliser offering four sound presets, while volume and other features can be controlled by the system's remote control. The unit's dual line, 16 character display shows DAB station and scrolling text.

A remote contol, bass enhancement switch and musicport (front-mounted line input for connection of an MP3 player) complete the feature count of the Panasonic SCPM33DB DAB micro system. The Panasonic SCPM33 DAB digital micro system is shipping now, at around GBP 150.00, including postage.
