New all-eighties DAB radio station launches to Wrexham, Chester, Liverpool and Manchester

A brand new radio station playing pop rock songs from the decade of decadence is up and running across Wrexham, Chester, Liverpool and Manchester on DAB digital radio.

Love80s, brainchild of Dee Radio, can be heard on the local digital radio bundle serving Wrexham, Chester and Liverpool, plus the DAB mini multiplex for Manchester. The stations can also be heard online, with separate feeds for Manchester and Liverpool (to follow at a later date). The station has a website for station news and links.

Love80s is broadcast using the DAB+ standard, generally receiveable by digital radios manufactured in the last five years. National stations Jazz FM Stereo, Magic Chilled and Fun Kids children's radio broadcast using this newer, more efficient standard.

To receive DAB digital radio services, you need a type of radio designed to pick up digital broadcasts over the airwaves through its built-in aerial. We've links to good models on our pages, or scroll down the page for some quick links to both DAB and wi-fi receivers.
