Classic Gold and Capital Gold are no more, thanks to the merged stations' relaunch as Gold last night.

The Classic Gold and Capital Gold brands began in the late eighties in Yorkshire and London respectively. The new station promises hits from the last fifty years and is fronted by several ex-Capital Gold presenters.
