Friday, 16th February 2007 BBC announces rollout of further 7 DAB digital radio transmitters
Arquiva (formerly NTL Broadcast) is to install 7 new transmitters up and down the country before the end of April 2007, which will all carry national digital radio services from the BBC.
Up to 150 further transmitters are planned from April 2007 onwards as the broadcaster increases the coverage of its national DAB services such as BBC 6 Music and BBC7.
Locations for the new transmitters have been confirmed as follows:
Bury St Edmonds (Puttocks Hill)
Norwich and parts of east Norfolk (Stoke Holy Cross)
Arundel and the South Downs (Burton Down)
Alnwick and east Northumberland (Chatton)
Newhaven (Newhaven)
Mansfield (Fishponds Hill)
York and the East Riding of Yorkshire (Acklam Wold)

BBC Radio 3
BBC Radio 4
BBC Radio Five Live
