Sunday, 17th September 2006 South Wales will have a new FM radio station
A new radio station serving just under a million people in the South Wales area is in the pipeline. The media regulator Ofcom is advertising a new local FM licence for South Wales, which will include Cardiff.
Once applications are in and a decision has been made by the regulator, the new station is likely to begin broadcasting in the early part of 2008.
