A slightly older target audience is the aim for Exeter FM, which has been awarded a new citywide local FM licence. Exeter FM will source its music output from the last four decades and broadcast local news and information.

Exeter FM beat off competition from Silver FM, Sunshine Radio and Your Radio. It is expected the station will launch in 2007.
