Saturday, 2nd September 2006 LBC launches on regional DAB digital radio multiplexes up and down the country
London-based talk and phone-in station LBC, featuring entertaining and informative conversation from presenters such as Nick Ferrari, Anna Raeburn and Clive Bull, has now fully launched on regional DAB digital radio multiplexes serving North West England, the North East, Yorkshire, the West Midlands and South Wales and the West of England. The station is broadcasting in mono at a bitrate of 48Kbps.
Though based in London, the station carries regional and national news at the top of the hour, and local adverts.
Existing DAB digital radio owners can perform a retune or rescan if they are not already receiving the station - a replacement for DNN, which closed last month.
To receive DAB digital radio stations in the UK, you need a DAB digital radio - a type of radio that can receive digital radio broadcasts. For more information, read our guide to DAB digital radio and discover more about radios available to buy.
