 Sunday, 27th June 2004 Samsung squeezes host of features into its DAB-enabled micro system
Samsung's first DAB micro system - the snappily-titled MMZJ8DABRH - is now available. The Samsung DAB system offers, amongst other things, a CD player, auto reverse cassette deck, FM RDS/AM/DAB digital radio tuner, 2 way ported speakers, and alarm wake-up facility.
The Samsung MMZJ8's single, horizontal-loading CD player accepts a range of formats, including CD-recordable, CD-rewriteable and MP3 music files held on CD.

An auto reverse cassette deck takes care of commiting sounds onto tape, while the clock and alarm function can wake you up in the morning to your favourite DAB station, for example.
The Samsung DAB micro system offers a number of presets across three wavebands - DAB band III, FM (with RDS station naming) and AM. DAB station name and scrolling text is carried on its large display.
The Samsung micro also has a number of sound equaliser settings to tweak the bass and treble, and an extra bass boost function to help shake the floorboards.
Headphones can also be hooked up to the Samsung MMZJ8 DAB system, which provides 2 x 35 Watts RMS maximum through each of its speakers. Finally, a remote control is included for armchair operation.
