The two areas have seen the power-up of new transmitters, based at Lark Stoke and Fenham, which cover around 99,000 people and 526,000 people respectively. |
 | The Lark Stoke transmitter brings the BBC multiplex to people in Charingworth, Alderminister, Chipping Campden and Moreton in Marsh. The Fenham transmitter brings the BBC multiplex to new listeners in the Newcastle and Gateshead areas. The switch-on of the latest transmitters allows a full set of the national services from the BBC to be heard on a DAB digital radio. Listeners with a DAB digital radio in and around these areas can receive the new services by performing an "Autotune" or "Autoscan" with their DAB-enabled tuner or radio.
