The FVDB1E DAB radio, featuring alarm and sleep timers as well as FM reception is now shipping. The Sharp FV-DB1E offers DAB Band III and FM PLL radio reception in a portable. Powered either by the mains or 6 "C"-size batteries, the Sharp DAB radio also has a carrying handle for full portability and weighs in at 1.7kg without batteries. |
 | The Sharp FVDB1E portable DAB radio is capable of 2 Watts RMS power output through each of its twin speakers and offers twenty presets for storing and recall of favourite stations. Alarm and sleep timer functions are also available, so you can wake up to DAB digital radio stations in the morning and snooze off at night listening to DAB. The FV-DB1E wake up timer could be used to start recordings through the optical output, i.e. for recording shows to an external minidisc recorder or CD-R machine via the output, although there is no means to stop recording at a predetermined time, except through separate use of the sleep timer. An analogue line out socket is also included for connection to a hi-fi system or similar. The Sharp FVDB1E is available now at around GBP99.99 via our online shopping guide.
