Radio Carmarthenshire is planning a mid-2004 launch for its local radio service in West Wales.

Backed by sister station Radio Pembrokshire, the music, news and features channel will offer listeners in Carmarthenshire their own local radio service for the first time, on 97.1FM.

Also planned for the town of Llanelli is a new station: 97.5 Scarlet FM.
