   station directory latest radio news air today feedback features  |  Saturday, 17th April 2004 BBC powers up Burnley and Cambridge DAB transmitters BBC spoken word channel BBC7, urban music station 1Xtra and archive performances music station 6 music are now available across Cambridge and Burnley. The Cambridge transmitter carrying national DAB radio services from the BBC provides coverage for the Cambridge area including Bottisham, Cottenham, Duxford, Great Chesterford, Little Abington, Lolworth and Sawston. Up to 104,000 new listeners to BBC DAB are possible with the new transmitter in place. |
 | A further 149,000 possible listeners with a DAB digital radio can now tune in to the BBC's national digital radio stations in and around Burnley, Colne, Accrington and surrounding areas. The switch-on of the latest transmitters allows a full set of the national services from the BBC to be heard on a DAB digital radio. Listeners with a DAB digital radio in and around these areas can receive the new services by performing an "Autotune" or "Autoscan" with their DAB-enabled tuner or radio.
