TEAC are planning a DAB version of their SR-L50 CD radio. The SR-L50 has a downward-facing subwoofer for more powerful bass and speakers toed outwards slightly for better stereo separation. It's expected to hit the shops in summer at a price to be announced. The current SR-L50 retails for around GBP250.00.
Tivoli are also eyeing a move into the DAB market, with a pre-production Tivoli Model DAB on display. The Model DAB has an upward facing speaker, with room on the front of the unit for the large push-to-select tuning dial, preset buttons and display. Able to receive DAB stations only, the Model DAB is expected to retail for a whopping GBP200.00 and will be available from late summer/early autumn.
