The power increase became possible after negotiations with ntl, the commercial radio regulator, the Radio Communications Agency and RTE in Southern Ireland over any issues of possible interference. |

A further five transmitters are due to see a power boost in the near future, with increases for Craigkelly, Kirk O'Shotts, Sutton Coldfield, Turners Hill, and Pendle Forest. Listeners with a DAB digital radio served by the above transmitters can hear the national commercial digital services by performing an "Autotune" or "Autoscan" with their DAB-enabled tuner or radio.
