 | The switch-on of the latest transmitter on Friday, 28th November 2003 allows a further 290,000 potential listeners to the BBC's services. There are already two local DAB digital radio multiplexes serving both Bournemouth and the South Hampshire areas. The national commercial services are also available in the area. Listeners with a DAB digital radio in Poole, Bournemouth, West Dorset and South-West Hampshire and surrounding areas can receive the new services by performing an "Autotune" or "Autoscan" with their DAB-enabled tuner or radio.
