   station directory latest radio news air today feedback features  |  Thursday, 30th October 2003 New wave of BBC DAB transmitter expansion turns to Dundee The Beeb is putting its transmitters where its mouth is, having set itself a target for 85 percent of the population to receive its national digital radio services by the end of 2004, by launching its thirteenth DAB transmitter of recent times in Dundee. The new transmitter located at Angus was powered up on 29th October 2003 and means a figure of around 320,000 people living in and around Dundee can now tune in to the BBC's new digital-only stations such as BBC 6 music and Five Live Sports Extra. |
