The new local radio station for Barnsley, Dearne FM, is due to launch on 5th October. As well as supporting the local Barnsley football team with sports reports, the station will play hit music from the last four decades, including Robbie Williams, Dido, S Club 7, Queen, Abba and Elton John.

The station can be heard on 97.1FM in Penistone and the Dearne valley and on 102.0FM in Barnsley.
