 | Led by TV presenter Kirsty Wark, GO-fm plans a speech-and-music service for Glasgow. Wark described Kingdom FM as a "proven radio operator with the know-how and credibility in Scotland that few other radio companies can match". Kingdom FM's Chief Executive, Ian Sewell, has been appointed Chief Executive of the enlarged company. He said that Clan FM would benefit immediately from Kingdom's management input and investment in local programming, and that, as the only radio partner in River FM and Go-FM, Kingdom would provide useful knowledge of the Scottish radio market and management advice. The chairman of Clan FM, Ian Livingstone, said: "This is a good move for Clan FM and I'm sure that the station will go from strength to strength under Kingdom's direction". Launched in October 1998, Kingdom FM reported profits during its first year of launch and has achieved record audience figures in the latest round of audience research. River FM began broadcasting last month and Clan FM, serving Lanarkshire, launched in November 1999. Related links: Scotland radio station links, on this website Kingdom FM website
