Monday, 31st March 2003 Continuous country music station set to launch on Norwich DAB radio multiplex The first country music station serving Norwich in Norfolk is about to launch on local DAB digital radio - joining an environmental and health-issues station and a modern rock service - from the end of March 2003. Listeners with a DAB digital radio can tune in to a new selection of stations, which includes some moving across to simulcast on the digital radio platform. The new line-up is as follows: |
![]() | 3C : continuous country music BBC Radio Norfolk : news, information and music Broadland 102 : pop and contemporary music The Beach : Great Yarmouth's local station Classic Gold : hits of the seventies, eighties and nineties Passion : contemporary and World music radio with features on environmental and health issues The Storm : modern rock music and unsigned bands SBN : student radio network shows Vibe FM : dance, r&b and drum 'n' bass teen station : the latest chart hit music The new multiplex, on Block 11B, can be found (toward the end of the month) by performing a re-scan for the multiplex on any DAB digital radio tuner or receiver. The multiplex official launch date is 31st March 2003. The teen station, originally announced as Capital Disney, is yet to be confirmed on the multiplex.
