   station directory latest radio news air today feedback features  |  Tuesday, 2nd July 2002 DAB digital radio receiver launched for under GBP100 pounds Pure Digital, the new name for Videologic, has unveiled its latest DAB digital radio receiver, which will go on sale at the end of July for under GBP100 pounds in selected stores. The portable mains-powered Pure-branded Evoke-1 DAB will be available for GBP99.99 in a number of stores including Argos, John Lewis, Maplin Electronics, Allders, Capital Sound & Vision/Harrods, Empire Direct, Simply Radios (Purley Radio Ltd.), Miller Brothers and independent hi-fi stores. |
 | The new portable radio has a maple wooden case, silver fascia and control panel. A telescopic aerial, mains adaptor and headphone and line-outs are also featured. The unit also makes used of DAB's track and programme information through its scrolling display and has 6 presets for stations. The PURE EVOKE-1 uses the latest 3rd generation DAB technology, including Frontier Silicon’s Chorus (tm) FS1010 single-chip DAB/Audio processor. Parent company Videologic has supplied the META processor design and DAB IP for the mains-powered radio. Related links: |
