DAB digital radio PCI card will enable more PC users to tune in

British-based company Modular Technologies has announced the launch of a DAB digital radio PCI card receiver that will break the GBP100 pounds mark. The new card is expected to go on sale in Summer, at less than GBP100 pounds.

The new DAB card will be stocked at 'The Computer World' stores in the UK. Its supplied software will enable direct-to-disk recording and give access to programme information. Data services will also be available through the interface.

Colin Middlemiss, TIME spokesperson said:
"Digital Radio cards are an exciting addition to the hardware that we can give to our customers. The ability to access unique stations individually tailored to your musical tastes is just one of many benefits that digital radio offers."

The new card will fit into a spare PCI slot in a user's computer. The card is the second product designed to work with a PC. The first, Psion's Wavefinder, uses a USB port to connect to a home computer.
