Radio project brings 'sound art' to the airwaves

The London's Musicians' Collective have launched a year-long station as part of the Access Radio scheme, which aims to give different communities access to spare FM and AM frequencies for radio projects.

Resonance 104.4 FM is commissioning and broadcasting contemporary music programming and 'sound art' from Monday to Friday after 5pm, and during the afternoon and evenings at weekends.

Resonance FM logo                             Their base is at the South Bank in London and the station promises to 'represent the diversity of London's arts scene, including Savage Pencil, Gavin Turk, Matthew Glammore, Caroline Kraabel and countless others'.

Radio Regen has launched WYTHENSHAWE FM on 97.2 FM in Greater Manchester. The station's programmes and features are aimed at the local community.

Desi Radio is broadcasting now to the London Borough of Southall with programmes in Punjabi and English. The station can be heard on 1602 MW.

Nottingham's Radio Fiza has had a slight name-change to Radio Faza.
