New station in Ulster plans better-than-middling playlist

Mid FM will be the new sound in Cookstown and Magherafelt, in Northern Ireland. The new community-aimed station will begin broadcasting next year.

The station's music choice will be drawn from archives covering the last forty years. Modern country and contemporary Irish music will also be featured. Local news and listener participation are also promised.
