Two more community Access stations take to the air

This week has seen the launch of two more Access radio stations, as the scheme to rollout not-for-profit radio stations continues.

Pontypridd's GTFM was set up by Glyntaff Tenants' and Residents' Association (GTRA) and the University of Glamorgan. It aims to offer a plaform for the local community during the day and a mix of music appealing to the under 30s. The station can be heard on 106.9FM in the area.

Central Glasgow's Awaz FM is a brand new station for Asian listeners in the city, with programmes in Urdu, Panjabi and English. News, entertainment and information will form the station's output, which is broadcasting now on 107.2FM.

Both stations will be on air for one year.
