Do you see a new radio station in Ayr?

UCA Radio has become part of the digital radio revolution as the local digital radio multiplex for Ayr in Scotland has launched on channel 11B.

Both BBC Radio Scotland and BBC nan Gaidheal can also be heard on the multiplex, alongside West FM and West Sound. Continuous Cool Country music station 3C completes the line-up.

UCA Radio, from the University of Paisley, is the first student station in Scotland to be heard on the digital platform.

We believe it is important that students on all our courses have a real audience for their work, whether that's radio, video, art, music, or journalism.
'We are proud of UCA Radio because its a great showcase for the talents of students at University Campus, Ayr and the new digital licence should allow lots more listeners to join in the fun.'

Scottish Radio Holdings' digital arm Score Digital is the multiplex operator.
