| Tuesday, 24th July 2001Chester or South Flintshire in geographical battle to secure new local station Either Chester or South Flintshire will tune in to a new local station next year, but not both, thanks to a lack of FM frequencies in this part of the country. The Radio Authority is advertising a new licence for a station directed at either the city of Chester or the towns in the southern part of Flintshire (Mold, Buckley and/or Connah's Quay). As FM frequencies in the area are few and far between, only one licence will be awarded, to whichever applicant is successful in winning the licence, in Chester or South Flintshire. |
