|  Saturday, 18th May 2001Contender eyes up Northants licence to replace current station GWR Group-owned Northants 96 will be bidding against one other company to hold on to its licence for a further eight years from October 2002. The Radio Authority, the commercial radio regulator, has been made aware that another company intends to make an application to run the local commercial licence for Northamptonshire. Any interested party will now be able to lodge an application to run a station for the area when the local licence is advertised in the near future. Classic Gold Digital 1557 also faces competition to hold onto its licence on the AM waveband. |
