|  Monday, 30th April 2001Radio takes to the airways The UK's largest airlines including Virgin and British Airways are set to strike a deal that will allow passengers to access the internet during flight. The proposed deal will allow passengers to access local radio and tv stations over the internet. If the deal, pioneered by companies including Boeing, is taken up, travellers between New York and London will be able to use e-mail and access the internet from early next year. A satellite link for the new system is currently being developed, to be installed over the Atlantic.
