   station directory latest radio news air today feedback features  | |  Thursday, 5th April 2001 Aberdeen's digital DAB radio services will bring new stations to the area Switch Digital has bagged the local digital radio licence for Aberdeen, meaning those with a digital receiver will be able to tune in to classic soul music station The Rhythm, commercial club dance station Ministry of Sound, country music station Ritz Radio, easy listening radio station The Lounge as well as the two current local stations serving the area Waves Radio and NECR. A contemporary hit radio station and a pop, sport and news station aimed at adults is also promised in the line-up. |
  | BBC Radio Scotland and Gaelic language service, Radio Nan Gaidheal will also take their place on the digital multiplex for the area. It is expected the services will start in December this year. |
