DAB Digital Radio
There are two national digital radio multiplexes for the UK, with the launch of a third a possibility. The BBC national digital radio multiplex broadcasts on channel 12B. Radio 4's output is adjusted from stereo to mono, depending on whether separate programming from AM and FM is being broadcast.
The national commercial digital radio multiplex broadcasts on channel 11D in England and 12A in Scotland and is operated by Digital One.

The BBC Trust is consulting on proposals to close both the national services of Asian network and BBC 6 music by December 2011 and re-name BBC Radio 7 to BBC Radio 4 Extra. If these closures are ratified, the multiplex would look like this:
