Naim's gloriously well-built UnitiQute audio system has many tricks up its sleeve, offering playback via UpnP, internet radio, DAB and FM - and USB memory. Naim's GBP1300 UnitiQute all-in-one system commands a great deal of respect. Wrapped in a very sturdy 3mm thick aluminium case, there are scant few controls on the unit itself. See that illuminated Naim logo on the front of the system? That's a volume and mute control, that is. A 3.5mm input, headhone socket and USB socket can also be found on the fascia. Scurry off and find the equally well built remote control and the system puts playback from NAS, internet radio, DAB and FM radio at your fingertips, with options give on a very readable green display. As you would hope to expect, the UnitiQute does give a lot of bang for your buck. You can partner it with speakers of your choice and the system will deliver 2 x 30 Watts RMS - enough for small to midsize rooms. The internet radio uses a full version of VTuner, allowing favourites to be added to your profile. Naim claim a rapid turnaround for adding or correcting stations on the list. Outstandingly simple to access artists, playlists and songs from a clear interface, the UnitiQute makes tuning into DAB or internet radio stations easy and finding songs on your music server a doddle. The UnitiQute is available now from your dealer.
