Pure Evoke 1S portable DAB digital radio
Pure has updated its popular single-speaker Evoke model to make it less power hungry and allow users to connect their MP3 player or iPod.
With tweaks to the display (it's now an OLED organic variety), wavebands (the Evoke 1S can now pick up FM and show the station name) and portability (it will accept the company's rechargeable battery ChargePAK), the Evoke-1S is available now.
Pure have also added textscan, which lets you scroll quickly through the artist name or other text on the display.
As the Evoke 1S does not feature the same chipset as found in the Pure Siesta DAB clock alarm, it can only be used in the UK to receive current DAB radio stations and is not compatible with the newer DAB+ standard, which is used in other countries.
At around GBP100, the Pure Evoke 1S is now shipping.
